Passover Protest Sparks Clash Over ICE Collaboration in Manhattan

Public opinion is largely against local cooperation with ICE. A 2025 NYC Immigrant Rights Coalition survey found 65% of New Yorkers oppose such partnerships. Yet some organizations continue collaborating with ICE, citing legal or security reasons. Many immigrants see this as a betrayal of New York’s sanctuary city image.
